Sunday’s Coming ~ August 30, 2015

This week we wrap up our Make Some Waves series by spending time in the book of 1 Corinthians. The only way we are going to make some waves in our faith is if we actually go out and do something. We have been given something to share – the gospel of Christ – now we need to share what we have, and in doing so, we will contribute to this 2,000-year-old movement called Christianity.

Sunday’s Coming ~ August 23, 2015

This Sunday will be a big day.  We’ll be worshiping in the 3 services (8:30 / 9:50 / 11:10), we welcome one of our India Mission partners, and we have a mission and ministry fair that will help us connect better with God, each other, and God’s work in the world.

But more important than all of that is the questions I’ll be asking:

  • Where does your story find you today?
  • What does the next chapter look like?

Sunday’s Coming ~ Aug 16

What will your life look like throughout the next year?  What will mark the life of Trinity Church?

This week we begin a 3-week series entitled “Make Some Waves.”  When you throw a pebble or rock into a pond it causes ripples to extend outward from where it struck the water.  In the same way, Jesus desires that our lives impact a lost and hurting world in ways that make waves for his kingdom work.

Sunday’s Coming ~ Aug 9, 2015

This week we will be led by the high school youth group in worship. Many of the students will be sharing their gifts on the worship team, and many others will be serving the church as greeters, deacons, and childcare helpers this morning.

Sunday’s Coming ~ Aug 2, 2015

God invites his people to no longer see themselves as prisoners stuck in a foreign jail, but instead to become prisoners of hope.  That’s interesting, isn’t it?  What is a “prisoner of hope?”  Join us and we’ll learn together

Monday’s Here July 27

Don’t forget to come join us tonight, Monday, July 27 as we will be hosting the Japanese Handbell Choir.  The concert will be in the sanctuary from 7-8:30 p.m.  A free-will offering for the choir will be received.

Sunday’s Coming, July 26

I am excited to preach from the Old Testament book of Haggai on Sunday.  Here’s why:

  • It’s short! (39 verses)
  • It’s concise (takes places in a period of four months).
  • It points to Jesus
  • And….

Sunday’s Coming ~ July 19, 2015

In some of the other prophets, God reminds us what he had done for us.  In Hosea, God shows us what he feels for us.  It is our prayer that you would feel the intensity of God’s great love for you.

Monday’s Here!

“DO… LOVE… WALK” We heard a familiar text yesterday in Micah 6 – “Do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with your God.”   Our eyes fall first on three words: Justice, kindness (or mercy) and humbly.  But a closer look points to an emphasis on the verbs – Do, love, walk.  And, it’s likely that the reverse order is …

Sunday’s Coming ~ July 12, 2015

“What have I done to you?” This week and next, we’ll begin to feel more of God’s intense love for his people in the invitation of the prophets. In Micah (Sunday), we feel God’s pain as a loving parent whose child walks away from the Father’s kindness and pursues a life being unkind to others, even stealing from the poor. …
