“What have I done to you?”
This week and next, we’ll begin to feel more of God’s intense love for his people in the invitation of the prophets.
In Micah (Sunday), we feel God’s pain as a loving parent whose child walks away from the Father’s kindness and pursues a life being unkind to others, even stealing from the poor.
God asks the pained parent’s question: “What have I done to you? How have I wearied you?”
And yet, we we’ll see again, that God’s relentless love, his “high fidelity” to us, is unmatched and unstoppable. The prophet’s book drips with mercy and points us to Jesus, the most perfect gift of our most heavenly Father.
Future weeks will feature Hosea (July 19), Haggai (July 26), and Zechariah (August 2).

FOOD PANTRY DISTRISTRIBUTION
We will be packaging and delivering food for the local Food Pantry this Saturday, July 11th. We will be meeting at American Reformed Church and packaging the food at 8:30 a.m. and at 9:00 a.m. we will be delivering and blessing over twenty families in our community.
If you would like to volunteer to help, please arrive between 8:30-9:00 a.m. on Saturday at the American Reformed Church.

To end this week’s e-mail, how about an amazing story of God’s grace in the life of Don Riibe. He shared this on Caring Bridge this week:
A little over four years ago I was diagnosed with stage three esophagus cancer. My odds of surviving were zero. My odds of surviving five years increased to 10% after chemotherapy and radiation treatments. I made it up to 20% after major surgery. But the best odds they would give me of surviving the five years was 50/50. Yesterday I went to see the Oncologist. There were no signs of cancer. I no longer have to schedule oncology appointments… I am clear of this cancer. My odds of surviving are up to 99%.I want to thank all my doctors and nurses. I want to thank everyone for their prayers. Praise the Lord.Don
