Yesterday was the third Sunday in our 6-week sermon series, “At Our Core: The Values that Make Us Who We Are.” Michelle Christy preached from Romans 15:1-7, exploring Trinity’s core value of “Growing in Community.”

This Week at Trinity
Tree Planting At Trinity: This summer several families and individuals purchased trees and plants for Trinity’s property. We will plant these trees on Tuesday, September 24, starting at 5:30pm. All are welcome to help with this process.
CenterPoint Worship: Join us at Trinity on Sunday, September 29 at 7:30pm for a time of prayer and worship with people across the Northwest Iowa region. All are welcome to come and join us in worship.
Wednesday Night Meal: Join us on October 2 from 5:30 to 6:30pm for our next Wednesday Night Meal. This meal is a joint venture between the meal team at Trinity and some of our Latino friends. Come to enjoy traditional Latino food and a time of fellowship. We’re serving tamales, street tacos, flour tacos, rice and beans, fresh veggies, and tres leches cake. There is a suggested donation of $2 per person. We are looking for volunteers to help serve and clean up after the meal. If you’d be willing to help serve or clean up, please sign up online.
Faithwalking Retreat: What if God has more for your life and relationships than just “It’s fine”? What if God is calling you into an adventure of transformation that leads to being more fully alive? A life on mission with God? Pastor Brian is excited to offer Trinity’s second Faithwalking Retreat October 18-20. It will be local, so you will go home each night to sleep in your own bed. We’ll explore topics like integrity and authenticity, and how to get unstuck from your default patterns so that you can be more fully who God designed you to be. You will not be the same after this retreat! Cost is $30/person. Scholarships are available. Capacity is limited so sign up soon online.
Nicaragua Missions Sharing: There is an opportunity to hear from Phil and Olivia Iekel, our mission partners in Nicaragua, at American Reformed Church in Primghar on Sunday, September 29 from 6:30-7:30pm. They will share for the full hour, with a time of fellowship and refreshments following.
Mexican Cooking Class: Trinity’s Conexiones Ministry is partnering with Maria Vazquez to offer a Mexican cooking class at Trinity! We’ll learn to cook authentic Mexican food and then share the meal together. This is an opportunity to have fun, learn to make good food, and connect with our Latino neighbors! Dates and times are yet to be determined. Sign up here, and we’ll be in contact to find a date and time that works for you.
