Sunday Recap – August 18

Yesterday was the twelfth Sunday in our sermon series God’s Story, Our Story. Pastor Brian Keepers preached from Hebrews 11:32-38 & Acts 7:54-8:3, sharing with us the story of the first Christian martyr – a man named Stephen. Stephen shows us that even if we may not literally be killed because of our faith, we are called to live “a life of a martyr,” which means daily dying to our sin, fear and insecurity in order that we might point others to the living Christ!

Children’s Ministry / Youth Ministry / Hospitality Volunteers: The school year is fast approaching and that means that fall programming is about to begin. We are looking to get new volunteers connected with children’s ministry, youth ministry, and hospitality opportunities. If you would like to get connected, or are looking for more information, please sign up on our online registrations page HERE. Signing up is not a commitment, it’s simply a way for you to express interest so that we can reach out and find a place for you to get connected.

Men’s Wilderness Excursion: Men, be sure to block off September 19-22 to head up to beautiful Grand Marais, Minnesota and Camp Mink for a time of refreshment and adventure. We are offering 3 different opportunities this year:

  1. Canoe Trip – A paddle and portage experience with a guide and planned itinerary.
  2. Biking Trip – A mountain biking experience on trails in the region.
  3. In Camp – An opportunity to serve at Camp Mink with our ministry partner Coldwater. Times of rest, fishing, and hiking are a part of this.

To reserve your spot on the trip, please sign up on our online registration HERE. The registration deadline is September 1.

Lost & Found / Kitchen Dishes: The lost and found bins at Trinity are overflowing! We have all sorts of kids clothes, Bibles, coffee mugs, water bottles, hats, etc. The lost and found bins are located in our main office, just past the front desk. There are also several unclaimed dishes in the kitchen. We encourage you to stop in and see if something is yours. Everything that is left on August 26 will be donated.
