WHAT I MISSED
As usual, it was good to be away and good to be home. In four short days I couldn’t ask for more to be packed in: a visit with Ron and Ruby Korver (and Kroll’s Hamburgers!) in Green Bay, breakfast at Judy’s, disc golf, a walk to the lighthouse, preaching in Oostburg, and even lunch with a crazy uncle (doesn’t everyone have one of those?).
But, after watching the replay of the webcast, I missed a great weekend at Trinity. I am thrilled you got to witness why I feel so blessed to be a pastor on this team. Kristin and Ben and did such a great job presenting both what God is up to and a great message in the Word (thanks, Jamie J, too!).

Oh, and I discovered other churches have typos, too – my home church’s opening worship slide read, “Come Christians, Join to Sin” – maybe it’s a new outreach strategy!

SENIOR FELLOWSHIP
This Thursday, August 14 at 2:00 p.m. Senior Fellowship will feature Ashley Wright from Vibella Jewelry. Ashley will be sharing about how Vibella’s holistic gospel approach is empowering women in developing nations to grow in their faith and develop skills.
STAFF AND LEADERS TO ATTEND LEADERSHIP SUMMIT
This Thursday and Friday the staff will join with other lay leaders for a retreat at the Willow Creek Leadership Summit simulcast in Sioux City. The office will be closed on Friday.
POOL PARTY AND POTLUCK
This Sunday, August 17, we will be having our annual Pool Party and Potluck at the Orange City Pool and Shelter House. Join us for fellowship, a potluck, and lots of fun in the water! Water fun will be from 4:30-6:00 p.m. and the potluck around 6:00 p.m. Please bring sandwiches for your family, table service, and salad / dessert to share. Drinks will be provided.
NWC ATHLETIC FEED
On Monday, Aug 18 Trinity will be hosting our annual NWC Athletic Feed for over 250 students. We are still in need of a few volunteers for Snicker Salad, Cheesy Potatoes, and Fresh Fruit. Sign-ups will be out again on Sunday at the Welcome Center, or you can call or email the church to sign-up as well. 737-4542 or trinityoc@gmail.com
