Adult Sunday School Opportunities will be from 10:00-10:50 a.m.

SUNDAY’S COMING
On Sunday we’ll celebrate God’s work among our Children’s Ministry and Student Ministries. Kristin Brouwer will highlight a great week of Summer Kids Adventure and preview our fall kids ministry called “The Gospel Project.” Ben Vos will bring an inspiring message with MOC-FV senior Jamie Jongerius. And, we will welcome several new members to our community of faith.
The apostle Paul spells out for us what it means to be mature in Christ. He reminds us of the model Jesus gave; that the holy Son of God actually got off of His throne, humbled Himself, and came to earth. What love the Father has for us! Being a mature follower of Jesus himself, Paul encourages us to use Christ’s example of humility and love. We are to get off of our ‘thrones’, humble ourselves, and come near to other people; showing them the same love that Jesus showed us. When we start to live like that, we will not only leave no doubt about the hope and the joy that we have in Christ, but we will also display for others the relentless love that God has for us. We won’t be infants, Paul says, when we live and love the way Jesus lived and loved. We will be mature, grown up in Christ, and able to attain to the unity that Christ calls us to as one body of believers.
This Sunday we will be using a new song in worship from the band Rend Collective called “My Lighthouse.”

SUMMER KIDS ADVENTURE

A few of the dates are now past, but there are still several times and dates of availability yet throughout the sessions (there’s even some yet for THIS Friday and Saturday Aug. 8 & 9!), so if you haven’t already made your appointment, please do so soon!
