Monday’s Here

Monday’s Here!
WorkAndWorshipNot that I doubt the power of God’s Word, but I can honestly say I did not expect the response to the topic on “Worship and Work” to be such a ripe need in people’s lives.  I have been blessed and amazed at the conversations in the last 24 hours – in person, e-mail, even text messages – with working in retail, the ag industry, insurance, and education.  If you’ve missed worship – there is a link at the bottom of this post to an archive of Sunday’s entire service, including John Dykstra’s interview.

And, CLICK HERE for a link to the New York Times column that I have quoted from as an illustration.

Next week…. Why do we work, anyway?

Working with you in the Kingdom,

Pastor Jon

IMG_1229Sunday School Memory Verses

This summer, each week the K-5 kids can memorize a new verse that goes along with our Summer Sunday School Curriculum.  They can stop by church between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays to recite the verse to Kristin for a prize.

This weeks verse is: “Keep on loving each other as brothers and sisters.  Don’t forget to welcome strangers.  By doing that, some people have welcomed angels without knowing it.” ~Hebrews 13:1-2.

Middle School Only Camp Out on Saturday

There is going to be a Middle School only (for students who just finished 6th through 8th grade) this Saturday from 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. at TRC.  Bring sleeping bags and tents.  Get ready for a great night of fun and fellowship.  Snacks will be provided.  Please contact Jon Eveland (our summer intern) at 641-660-0861 or Ben Vos at 712-395-2473 with any questions.

Bridge Drop Off SiteThe Bridge Donations

Don’t forget to bring in your donations you signed up for for The Bridge Supply Drive.  All items need to be to church by June 15.  If you haven’t done so already, please see this weeks bulletin insert for an updated list of needed items, or you can click Updated Bridge Needs List 06-15-14 for the list.  This updated list shows all the items we either have not received any of, or that we could still use more of.

Trinity Worship is Live!

Trinity is now streaming our entire worship services online!  This means that you can watch worship live with us Sunday morning from any internet connected device, and it also means you can go back and watch entire services in our archive.  We are excited about this new ministry opportunity to reach out to new people, and help connect deeper to those who can’t be with us on Sundays.  You can view all of our old services here.  Check us out at trinityoc.com to get the link each week to join us live on the web.
