Sunday’s Coming ~ April 16, 2017

Preaching this week is Director of Youth Ministry, Ben Vos. He will share a message from John 20 on a God with scars.

It will be Easter Sunday and we will finish our Lent series, The Way of the Cross, this week. We know that the way of the cross is a difficult one and that walking with Jesus into the mess of the cross is devastating. But this week we will be reminded that when we walk with Jesus into a mess, He walks with us out of that mess. When we must go to the cross, we get to go to the empty tomb. Sunday always comes after Friday!

Banquet Serving

On Saturday, April 29, Trinity will be serving at The Banquet in Sioux Falls. We need around 25-30 volunteers to help serve, as well as monetary donations to purchase the food.  Please label your donation checks with “The Banquet” in the memo and bring to the church office. Sign up HERE to help serve in Sioux Falls.

Sunday’s Coming ~ April 9, 2017

Preaching this week is Director of Youth Ministry, Ben Vos. He will share a message from Exodus 17 on the trustworthy nature of God.

This Sunday is Palm Sunday and we are marching through the season of Lent and Holy Week as we journey to the cross. We have learned over the past several weeks that this journey is neither easy nor fun. That it’s often filled with strife and heartache, tragedy, and loss. Indeed, the way of the cross is not the way that most of us would chose. But for the heart of the disciple, the way of the cross is the necessary road. And don’t forget, Church, the way of the cross is also the way of the empty tomb. If we go through the cross, we get to go through the tomb as well.
