March // Youth Group Updates

We have some great ministry opportunities here in the month of March. Registrations for spring and summer trips are open, we’ll go on a retreat this month, and we’ll talk about how some things that are biblical are not always Christlike. That’s our Wednesday night teaching series for middle and high school students. Things like slavery, the law of retaliation, polygamy, etc. These are all biblical ideas – you see them in both the Old and New Testaments. But when you look at the life and teachings of Christ, these biblical ideas fall short. Our goal is to help students make these distinctions and then consider how that might inform their choices as they try to become like Jesus. Ultimately, we know that transformation is a work of the Holy Spirit, but we also know that our work in partnering with the Holy Spirit is important too. So we will consider these ideas from scripture, and then encourage students to partner with the Spirit to grow in Christ.

The high school retreat is coming up fast! On March 21-23, we’ll be at Swan Lake Camp in southeast South Dakota for a weekend of prayer, study, and fun. This retreat is full, so we praise God for bringing together a great group of high school students with whom to spend the weekend. Please join us in praying for these students and for our time together.

We also have some registrations to pay attention to here in March. The high school mission trip (July 11-20) registration is open and linked below. The middle school mission trip (July 23-27) registration opens on March 19th. Visit cultivate-co.org for more information on that trip and to find the registration link.
