Spring is on its way! March brings the promise of warmer weather and more opportunities to enjoy God and His good creation outside. We are also look forward to the start and the season of Lent – a 40-day journey that leads us to the good news of the cross and the empty tomb. As we travel through this season, we will spend time studying the feasts that the Israelites kept on an annual basis. Each year, God’s people would intentionally remember and celebrate the works of God in their past, slow down and recognize His presence in their present, and eagerly look forward to fulfilled promises in their future. These seven feasts will help us understand that nature of God, and give us a framework for applying the truths that these feasts represent in our lives today. That, along with a big worship night on March 30th, will round out our Wednesday night schedule for this month.
Speaking of that worship night, this event is for ALL 6th-12th grade students, AND their parents. Northwestern College will host us in their chapel on the 30th, and we hope to spend intentional time in worship, prayer, and fellowship. Parents, this is a great opportunity to engage with your students in a worship setting, and catch a glimpse of how God is working in their lives. Please consider yourself invited, and plan on attending at Northwestern on March 30th, from 6:30-8pm. For other info on spring and summer trips, check out the middle school and high school specific drop-down tabs on our youth page. The middle school retreat is full, but all other trips are open for registration. Grace and peace to you all!
