May brings us to the end of our programming year. But it’s not the end of ministry opportunities! This month we’ll watch our 8th and 12th grade students lead youth group on May 5th, we’ll recognize profession of faith students, and we’ll commission our seniors to a lifetime of service to God and neighbor. We will also gear up for our two summer mission trips. Our first will be at the end of June with some of our middle school students. We’ll head to Des Moines and Pella, Iowa to work with area non-profits and attend Power Connection. Our second mission trip will be at the end of July with some of our high school students. We’ll head to Colorado Springs and Estes Park, Colorado to work with area non-profits and attend Rocky Mountain High.
Finally in the month of May, we’ll meet our 2021 summer intern, Trevor Satern. He’s from Humbolt, IA, and is passionate about serving teens and sharing the good news of Jesus. Welcome, Trevor! We are thrilled to have you on the youth ministry team!
