This month we close registration for the middle school retreat. Registration ends on March 1st and payment is due March 17th. Bring cash or check to church before that date. Price is $110.
March 6th is our annual Ash Wednesday service from 6:30-7:30pm. It’s for ALL 6th-12th grade students (and all of the church; you’re invited!). This is youth group for this Wednesday night. It’s in the sanctuary, and it will be a somber, contemplative service where we’ll be asked to look inside our issues, confess our sin, and sit in silence as we await the joy and glory of Easter. We will impose ashes on you if you like as well. So March 6th Youth Group: 6:30-7:30pm in the sanctuary, for all youth.
March 13th is the rescheduled No Apologies Live Stream event. Again, this is for ALL 6th-12th grade students. It’s from 6:30-8:30pm in the sanctuary. Parents are also invited to this event. The speaker, Cory Nikkel (who is excellent!), will be talking about wise choices, abstinence, and purity. We’ll play some games, give out some cool prizes, and then tune in for the live stream. So March 13th Youth Group: 6:30-8:30pm in the sanctuary, for all youth AND parents.
There is also a really great opportunity on March 28th for parents of teenagers. This event features Collin Kartchner, a youth advocate and TedX speaker, who will present material on the dangers of social media and how parents can walk with their students through those hazards. Collin is a highly regarded speaker with practical insights on how to take a proactive role against the dangers of technology and how to teach your teens how to use it wisely. This event is scheduled for Thursday, March 28th from 6:30-8:30pm in Christ Chapel at Northwestern College. We highly recommend you attend! You can learn more about Collin and about this event by visiting their website: savethekids.us.
And you can still register for other spring and summer trips. Just scroll down to find links for the high school retreats, the high school mission trip, and the middle school mission trip.
Those are the big events/issues/stuff for this coming month. Have a great March!
