Interim Preaching

We have been working hard to schedule some amazing interim preaching during our transition as we work to find our new Senior Pastor.   Here is a look ahead at who will be preaching throughout the next several weeks.

  • Aaron Baart ~ March 19, 26, April 30, May 7, 14, 28 2017
    • Aaron lives a full, adventurous, and blessed life out of Sioux Center, IA where he serves as Dean of Chapel at Dordt College and his wife, Nicole works from home as an author (www.nicolebaart.com).  They have four (almost five) rambunctious, type-A children, all born in four different countries.  Aaron is the co-author of a discipleship primer titled, Vivid: Deepening Your Colors.  In 2007, Aaron and Nicole co-founded a church-planting, child sponsorship, and community development organization that works in Liberia, West Africa called, One Body One Hope (www.onebodyonehope.org). And, they are just starting on their first book together, My Neighbor as Myself which chronicles the lessons learned from friends on the other side of the world.

  • Rick Clark ~ February 26, 2017, May 21, 2017
    • Rick is a Spanish Professor at Northwestern College.  In addition to teaching Spanish and working with the college’s education majors, he serves as a translator in the community and is an assistant men’s basketball coach for NWC.  He is the 2007 and 2013 recipient of Northwestern’s Teaching Excellence Award.Prior to joining Northwestern’s faculty, he taught for 22 years at the high school level.Rick is one of Trinity’s Leadership Elders, and is also serving on the Transition Team.  Born and raised in Ecuador as the son of missionary parents, Rick has led summer study abroad trips to that country. He has also lived in Spain, led mission trips to Mexico and Ecuador, and served as a lay pastor for a Hispanic congregation.

  • Seth Sundstrom ~ April 2, 2017
    • Seth lives with his wife of 25 years near Harrisburg, SD. They have 2 adult children. 2 grandchildren and a spoiled Lab. After serving in local RCA congregations in Sioux Falls for 17 years, Seth now serves as Classis Pastor for the Dakotas. Like the first followers of Jesus, Seth enjoys fishing, sailing, and learning from the Master.

  • Jordan Loftis ~ March 12, 2017
    • Jordan is the author of The Men With Bare Feet: Discovering Intimacy With God Through the Lives of Moses, Joshua, and Jesus, and a speaker with one love: teaching the Bible. His favorite way to do so is by making its stories come alive.  He has spoken at universities, as well scores of churches, retreats, and workshops. Each stage, lectern, and pulpit has reinforced his belief what we all need most is Jesus.  When not writing, Jordan plays the drums and piano, loves to go on adventures in the mountains, adores reading G.K. Chesterton, and can’t get enough of his wife and daughter.  He holds a B.A. in theology/philosophy from the University of Sioux Falls.

  • Dave Bartlett ~ March 5, 2017
    • Dave Bartlett began his career as a teacher and a coach in Northeastern Iowa. He then transitioned to working full-time with Youth for Christ where he discovered a deep love for teenagers.  For the past 32 years, Dave has served at Orchard Hill Church in Cedar Falls.  For the past 20 years, Dave has been the Senior Leader of that church.
