This Week In Lighthouse Kids (Dec. 7, 2016)

K-2nd Grade:

This week we look at the admiration we have God and His attributes.  God is perfect in everything He does and everything He is.  The kids will learn that we should admire God because of what He is like, we should admire God.  When we admire God it leads us to trust Him.

December Memory Verses:

1 Thessalonians 5:16-17  “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing.”

Jeremiah 5:16-17 (ERV)

“Lord, there is no one like you.
    You are great!
Your name is great and powerful!
Everyone should respect you, King of all the nations.
    You deserve their respect.
There are many wise men among the nations,
but not one of them is as wise as you.”

3rd-5th Grade:

The disciples knew that obeying God is what matters most.  The disciples decision to leave everything they knew and continue the mission of Jesus to the rest of the world was what they had to do.  We must do likewise, living and teaching the full gospel in our own lives so people know who we worship and why we worship Him.

December Memory Verses:

Hebrews 13:8  “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”

Matthew 1:21  “She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”
