Sunday’s Coming ~ August 14, 2016

This week is a “hinge” Sunday.  It’s the week between our summer series on Messy Grace and our fall series.  And it is a very special Sunday.  Our summer interns for worship and youth (Danielle Rossell and Eli Dahl) will be leading worship along with a number of high school students.  We’ll witness how God has been at work in their ministry across the summer.

Three of our young men will share this week’s message — Matthew Jongerius, Caleb Arnett, and Ben De Boer.  All summer our youth groups focused on leading a Spirit Led life as we follow after Jesus.  Their message weaves that theme into our lives.

This Sunday is our last week of two summer services.  Next Sunday, August 21, we will launch our fall schedule with three services at 8:30 / 9:50 / 11:10 a.m. along with a new series called “Here is the Church.”

SUNDAY SCHOOL OPPORTUNITIES

  • 9:15 a.m. ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL GUIDE CLASS (Adult Room 1)
    • This class gathers around the table in Room 1 from 9:15-9:55 a.m. Sunday School Guides and lesson outlines are available in the office. This week we will be starting a new series of lessons on Romans. We will see that the good news of the gospel of salvation is set side by side in Romans with the bad news of eternal death as punishment for those who refuse to believe in Jesus.  All ages are welcome. • 10:30 a.m. SUMMER DIG CLASS (Adult Rooms 3&4)
    • Join us each week this summer as we dig into God’s Word as we work through different passages of Scripture related to our faith. Each study is independent of the other so you are able to step in at any time.  Feel free to bring someone along with you.  Click HERE for more information on this opportunity.
    • This Sunday the class will be studying 1 Timothy 6:11-19 and its instruction on how as an act of worship, we are to give to the One who has given us all we have.
