Sunday’s Coming ~ August 7, 2016

Welcome to August at Trinity!  It’s hard to believe that summer vacations are soon over, practices and preparations for fall have begun, and school will soon begin.

But, before we turn the page on Summer worship, we have one more message on grace.  Each week we’ve met a different character or heard a different story where someone’s life experienced a serious mess.  Each week we saw God’s grace show up and restore what was broken, heal what was wounded, and, especially, point to our ultimate grace received in Jesus.

This week will be a bit different.  We’ll hear the words from the Apostle Paul to a group of Christians about what grace and mercy mean at their core.  We throw around those words pretty quick and sometimes assume what they mean.  But a deeper understanding of what they mean in the heart of God will deepen our longing to receive God’s gift and to find joy and meaning in life.

This week we will also celebrate Communion and we’ll hear an update from one of our partners serving Christ in a different part of the world.

This week we will be starting a new series of lessons on Romans. • This Sunday the class will be studying John 17:20-26 and its instruction on how we are called to unity and to reflect Christ.
