Sunday’s Coming ~ July 10, 2016

We all need grace, don’t we?  God’s grace is greater than any mess we find ourselves in.  What’s messy about your life right now?  Where do you need God’s grace in Jesus to clean house?

Messes come in as much variety as there are people.  And each of us get messy in our own multitude of ways.  Sometimes we screw up our lives, sometimes we are blind to the messes we make and need to wake up, sometimes circumstances beyond our control mess us up.

This week we will stumble on a new way to be messy: how do we deal with the messy places of our lives when someone else messes us up?  When other people’s poor choices, wrong actions, unjust deeds cause us pain and sorrow and hardship, how can God’s grace help us through the messy places we did not cause?

The songs, prayers, and texts we’ll hear this week will help us on the journey through the wrongs of others.  We’ll meet a woman named Hagar, we’ll walk with her through incredible pain inflicted on her by the otherwise most well-meaning people.  Even in these dark places, we’ll discover again that God sees us and hears our affliction.

So join us and let’s find healing from the God who sees and hears.  As one contemporary songs sings, “In a crowd of 10,000, you don’t miss a thing.”
