Sunday’s Coming ~ February 14, 2016

This week is a very, very special week.  We welcome as our preacher Rev. Ann Bilbrew.  She is an amazing person who has touched several of our members with her passion for prayer, her compassion for people, and her over-flowing joy in the Lord.  She will be preaching on the Lord’s Prayer this week.

Ann is the campus pastor for Living Springs Community Church in Riverdale, Illinois.  She also is a social worker for the Cook County court system, helping people to access and leverage available resources for their needs.  She has a particular focus on women and families in crisis and leads a team at Circle Ministry which offers a way out that is empowering, not enabling.  She actively addresses thorny issues of racism and helps churches explore the richness of multi-cultural worship.

And she is a mom to Brittany and Josh, who have encouraged and supported her to follow God’s call in ministry.  Rev. Bilbrew will also be on Northwestern’s campus next week to engage with students, faculty and staff.

Also this week, you’ll learn about another summer mission experience to Haiti.

Next week, Pastor Jon begins a new series from John 13-17 that will take us to Easter.

Over this semester this class will explore relationships we can grow in as a church no matter what stage of life we are in.  We hope to see you there.
