CHILDREN’S SUNDAY SCHOOL CONNECTING POINT

Arrrrrmor of God. We did our best pirate imitations yesterday as we looked at the first piece of our armor the Helmet of Salvation.  A helmet guards your head and what’s inside your head – your mind. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, that’s a decision we make with our minds. Wearing the helmet of salvation means we need to remember that decision. We no longer live by the ways of the world. We made a choice to live God’s way. When we remember this, we will keep our mind focused on Jesus and we can protect ourselves from temptation and sin!

Take up the helmet of salvation, and guard your mind so you can live for Christ!

MONDAY’S HERE

Hi-Fi Bulletin Cover lo-resPastor Bob led us so powerfully in the message of Malachi.  He tapped into an experience most of us had – those times when God seems distant and we wonder where God is or doesn’t seem to come through, even though we try to do all the right things.

He asked some probing questions:

  • Where have I held back from God?
  • Where has my heart been cold to God?
  • Where have I been running from God?

And, he offered the incredible promise to us of God’s never-ending and unfailing love.  Wow!

Next week, Pastor Jon takes us to the book of Amos.
