CHILDREN’S SUNDAY SCHOOL CONNECTING POINT

In John 3:14, Jesus said, “Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up.” What was Jesus talking about?

God put Jesus in the position of the snake; Jesus was lifted high on the cross. So Jesus invites us, “Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth. For I am God, and there is no other” (Isaiah 45:22).

The problem that all of us face: we are sick with sin and deserve death. Then rejoice with them over the solution: Jesus, the sinless Savior, became sin for us and was lifted up on the cross in our place. We must do nothing but look to Him to be saved.

YOUTH GROUP RECYCLING THIS WEEK WEDNESDAY

For youth group this week, teens will go door-to-door collecting recycling items throughout Orange City. From water filters and cereal bags to markers, granola bar wrappers, and chapstick tubes, if you have trash, we want it! You can expect a visit from some of our teens between 6:30-9:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Parents, please drop off and pick up your teens at TRC at the normal youth group times (6:30 p.m. for middle school and 8:00 p.m. for high school).

OPEN HOUSE BABY SHOWER SUNDAY MAY 3

Baby Shower 05-03-15Come help celebrate new life within our church family.  We want to create a time to help celebrate, encourage, and support families of new babies in our church.  This will be a time of fellowship, sharing praise and prayer requests, and desserts.  Please join us Sunday, May 3 from 2-4:00 p.m. in Adult Rooms 3&4.  There will be a prayer and devotional time held at 3:00 p.m.  The following families will be honored: Cassidy Lee Mars (of Brandon & Jesse) and Evelyn Kate Bosma (of Troy and Laura). There will be a card basket for each family, but we encourage this time to be about fellowship and prayer (so please don’t feel the need to bring a gift).  We hope to see you all there!  If you have any questions please contact Megan Willits at 712-360-0796.
