SUNDAY’S COMING
The next three weeks of February will be a time of stories: stories about our past, our present, and our future. This month is special because it marks the end of a chapter in our story as a church. For over 300 of our worshipers, these stories are brand new. For the rest, it will be reminding ourselves of God’s faithfulness to the gathering of believers we call Trinity.
Three years ago this month, the people of Trinity committed another $1.4 million to make this facility a reality. Their faithful, 3-year commitments come to an end on February 28. But the fruit of their commitment has been amazing! There are, on average, 300 more worshipers, each week! More importantly, we are seeing people not only walk through the open doors, but also grow deeper in their walk with Christ, and we have been able to expand our mission commitments locally and globally. Thanks be to God!
On Sunday we will highlight Trinity’s past and the faithfulness of this church through the generations. It is important to remember, though, that our faithfulness is really just a response to God’s faithfulness to us. As we’ll see in Revelation 2, God’s great love for us is the fertile ground in which faithfulness grows. We look back on our past to see faithfulness, and really what we’re looking at is love. We look back to see who God was, and really what we’re looking at is who God is. We are all called to our first love. So as we remember God’s faithfulness to us and our faithfulness to Him through the generations, may we also remember this first love.
We’ll also celebrate communion on Sunday. Pastor Jon will lead us in the Great Thanksgiving Prayer as an introduction to communion. There are a couple of moments where the congregation participates. The words will be on the screen.
Our Sunday Morning services start at 8:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
Children and Youth Sunday School will meet between services, 10:00-10:50 a.m.
Children and Worship Children ages 5 through 1st grade will be dismissed during the service and can be picked up after church in the Kid’s Area.
Our Adult Sunday School Opportunities this week are:
- Questions of Life (Fellowship Hall)
- On Sunday we will be continuing our discussion from December on the topic of:Homosexuality. We will explore how we look at Scriptures for our guide. This week we will mainly look at New Testament passages. John Vonder Bruegge will facilitate our time together.
- The Life You Have Always Wanted (Adult Rooms 3 & 4)
- On Sunday we will look at what Christian Community is really like and how this makes a powerful impact on our spiritual lives. Pastor Bob De Boer will be leading the discussion.

Congratulations to Brandon and Jesse Mars on the birth of their daughter, Cassidy Lee, who was born on Thursday, February 5.
DATE NIGHT CHILDCARE
On Friday, Feb. 13th, Trinity is offering free babysitting for parents at church from 6-9:00 p.m. All children are welcome. Volunteers are also needed to help provide the childcare as well. Sign-up for both childcare and to volunteer to help at the Welcome Center on Sunday, or online click HERE.
WOMENS MINISTRY BRUNCH
Trinity women, please join us on Saturday, February 21, from 9-11:00 a.m. for brunch in the Fellowship Hall. Rachel Valentine will be sharing on the topic of “Busyness & The Discipline of Being Present.” A free-will offering will be taken to bless the Royal Family Kids Camp of NW Iowa.
