MONDAY’S HERE
Grateful… And hanging on for dear life!
Thank you, Church, for leaning into this season of our history. There is much to celebrate and be grateful for…
- Glorious worship yesterday and new members (and profession of faith!)
- Wonderful baby shower / prayer time
- Incredible teaching by Dr. Mead in Sunday school
- 110 women coming on Wednesday night to study God’s Word
- Sending out a team of specialists to work with a specific need in Haiti (they arrived safely and have hit the ground running).
- 50 area pastors gathering for a breakfast tomorrow morning to dialogue on how to minister to, with, and on behalf of our newest immigrants.
- A team of college students served coffee yesterday at 11:00 service.
So very, very grateful for your partnership in the gospel during this (and every) season in Trinity’s life.
This week we turn the page into a new focus for our worshiping life. February will mark the official completion of our Open Doors II capital campaign. Of course, we’ll still need to fund our our building debt, but it’s hard to believe what has all happened in 3 short years. Our messages will take us to 3 of the 7 churches in Revelation 2 and 3. Each week, one of our preachers will look at one church and the lessons we learn for our current season of life. We’ll look at God’s past faithfulness to his people, the present fruit of that faithfulness, and what the future faithfulness will look like.
Let’s hang on together to the Holy Spirit’s whispers and nudges as we follow Christ together in mission.
In Christ,
Pastor Jon

GOSPEL PROJECT KIDS CONNECTING POINT
Yesterday in Sunday school the kids looked at the story of Moses’ birth and how God saved Moses for a special purpose. Through Moses, God rescued His people. God saved Moses from the evil Pharaoh and actually used Pharaoh to sustain Moses’ life until God called him. Moses came face to face with a burning bush and though questioned many times, followed God’s plan for him.
