SUNDAY’S COMING
This Sunday will be our 365th day in this building! That’s right, one year ago this weekend, we moved into these walls at 201 St. Paul Ave SE. Thanks be to God!
And, spiritually speaking, we’re still building. Our Fall worship is taking us through the Sermon on the Mount. Last week Jesus’ words challenged our blindness around money and invited us to generosity. This week, Jesus expands generosity to include how we treat other people. Are we quick to judge others for their short-comings or can we be generous in our assessment? What do I pick at in others but am blind to in myself? Where can I find the grace to be generous towards others? And we’ll also get to celebrate communion.
Our Sunday Morning services start at 8:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
Children and Youth Sunday School will meet between services, 10:00-10:50 a.m.
Children and Worship Children ages 5 through 1st grade will be dismissed during the service and can be picked up after church in the Kid’s Area.
Our Adult Sunday School Opportunities this week are:
- Questions of Life (Fellowship Hall)
- Come out for an opportunity to explore important and challenging questions we have in life. This week Barb Dewald and Laird Edman will facilitate the topic of knowing God’s will in our lives. “How do I discern God’s will for my life? Is there a formula? Is it a secret? Will I love what God calls me to?”
- Sunday School Guide (Adult Room 1)

UCI CHRISTMAS PROJECT
This year for our Christmas project we are collecting Christmas presents for Haitian children through the UCI Ministry. This is similar to Operation Christmas child, except we will be filling a one gallon sized plastic bag with gift items. We are asking you to fill the bag with items for the child along with $4.00 to help cover shipping. This week Sunday there will be a sign-up table in the Fellowship Hall where you can choose a child and pick up your bag and information. If you would like a child, but there are not any left, please still sign up at the table and we will get you a child. If you want to just give a monetar donation to cover shipping, you can put it an envelope labeled “Haiti Shipping” and give it to Kristin Brouwer. We will be collecting the bags through the month of October, and they can be placed in the plastic tub outside of Kristin’s office.
LYNN COWELL MOTHER / DAUGHTER CONFERENCE
We have an amazing opportunity coming up for girls ages 7th-12th grade and their moms. Trinity will be hosting a conference with a special speaker from Proverbs 31 ministries, Lynn Cowell on November 7th and 8th. This is also open to mentors of teens or moms with girls who aren’t teens yet, and it will be focusing on issues of faith, relationships, and self-esteem for those teenage girls.
Click HERE for more information and links to register and sign-up to volunteer to help at the event.
