SUNDAY’S COMING
This week as we move from Matthew 5 to Matthew 6, Jesus invites us into stunning intimacy with our heavenly Father. We’ll see that God is both glorious and gracious, mighty and merciful. And, we’ll engage in the most basic of practices that followers of Jesus pursue. Our morning prayer time, especially, will trace the familiar phrases of what we call the Lord’s Prayer and allow us to enjoy our true and eternal Father.
Our fall worship times continue with services at 8:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
Children and Youth Sunday School will meet between services, 10:00-10:50 a.m.
Children and Worship Children ages 5 through 1st grade will be dismissed during the service and can be picked up after church in the Kid’s Area.
Our Adult Sunday School Opportunities this week are:
- Questions of Life (Fellowship Hall)
- Come out for an opportunity to explore important and challenging questions we have in life. In this place participants will find encouragement from one another to seek God and the community of faith to find answers. This week’s topic is “Radical Faith Continued.” Derek Brower will build on our first weeks “How do we cultivate a radical faith?” and unpack what radical faith looks like in our lives, what obstacles get in the way, and how we can develop this more deeply. NOMINATIONS FOR ELDERS AND DEACONS
Trinity members, please remember to turn in your elder and deacon nomination on or before this Sunday, Sept 21.
CHURCH PICNIC AT ALTON ROADSIDE PARK

This Sunday, Sept. 21 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. join us for a great night of food, games, and time to get to know people. Hotdogs, drinks, plates, and silverware will be provided. Please bring a side or dessert to share with others.
COLLEGE POTLUCK
We are looking for people who would like to help with our monthly college potlucks. If you are not currently in a small group (we contact them separately) would you consider volunteering once or more this year? Dates are 9/28, 10/26, 11/6, 2/15, 3/22, 4/19.
