Sunday’s Coming ~ June 15

When did work Start?
WorkAndWorshipSometimes our work is absolutely joy-producing.  That certainly isn’t true every day for every one.  But hopefully it is true some of the time for all of us.

I cannot remember a week that I have had more fun and joy in the course of my weekly work.  Uninhibited laughter in a staff meeting, meaningful work with our Leadership Team, tender moments with people facing life’s challenging days, and thoughtful conversations about the meaning and value of work with people in their various vocations.

We’re coming up to week 3 in our summer series on work and worship.  And, in many ways, this week sets the tone for the whole series – How does God’s creation of heaven and earth in their original state teach us about our own daily work?  What do we learn from the Garden of Eden, from the first animals, from the first marriage?

I can’t wait to think with you on these pivotal and practical ideas about our work.  And don’t forget, there’s a Sunday School class at 9:00 a.m. that helps tackle these questions for each person’s calling.

See you Sunday,

Pastor Jon
